Resin Vs Honed Marble Finish
Getting a brand new bench top can be super exciting as it's a great way to freshen up an old, outdated kitchen.
There are a lot of choices in benchtop materials, marble, granite, Caesarstone, laminate, wood, stainless steel, just to name a few.
If you are choosing a marble benchtop you also have the choice between resin and natural honed finishes.
The difference between the resin layer and natural honed marble is the shine.
Natural honed marble has a shiny gloss-like look and a resin finish doesn't.
Here's a tip from our experience ...
Both surfaces look amazing when new, but a resin finish scratches and cracks easier and can look old very quickly.
While the natural stone stays looking newer and cleaner looking for longer.
But that might be our own opinion.
